Mike Auterson, freshman golfer on the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College team, has been named second team All-American after finishing tied for 10th in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III men's golf national championship, held June 7-11 in Chautauqua, New York.
As a result, Auterson has earned an automatic bid into next year's national tournament, which also will be held in Chautauqua. Auterson finished with a four-day score of 305, which was 14 stokes behind the winner. There were 102 golfers in the tournament. He is the first Cincinnati State golfer to earn All-American honors. Auterson is a graduate of Milford High School.
