The EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION PROGRAM   

at Cincinnati State includes five components:

Ÿ    Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Care and Education

Ÿ    Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (one-year = five terms)

Ÿ    Child Development (CDA) Credential

Ÿ    Early Childhood Care and Education Literacy Certificate

Ÿ    Leadership Unit

 

The program supports the values and vision of the national Association for the Education of Young Children, and the Council for Early Childhood professional recognition.

 

The Certificates and Associate Degree will be helpful to students who are preparing for such positions as:

ŸLead Teachers and Assistant Teachers                

ŸChild Daycare Worker

ŸSchool Age Program Assistant                            

ŸHead Start Lead Teacher

ŸExceptional Child Program Assistant                    

ŸCenter Director

ŸPre-Kindergarten Instructional        

ŸAssistant in Public Schools

ŸParent Cooperative Worker

 

The Associate Degree will be useful as a foundation for those who plan a career in the area of:

 

Pre-School Education

Community Education

Social Work

Criminal Justice

Special Education

Recreation Center Programs
