The EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION PROGRAM
at Cincinnati State includes five components:
Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Care and Education
Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (one-year = five terms)
Child Development (CDA) Credential
Early Childhood Care and Education Literacy Certificate
Leadership Unit
The program supports the values and vision of the national Association for the Education of Young Children, and the Council for Early Childhood professional recognition.
The Certificates and Associate Degree will be helpful to students who are preparing for such positions as:
Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers
Child Daycare Worker
School Age Program Assistant
Head Start Lead Teacher
Exceptional Child Program Assistant
Center Director
Pre-Kindergarten Instructional
Assistant in Public Schools
Parent Cooperative Worker
The Associate Degree will be useful as a foundation for those who plan a career in the area of:
Pre-School Education
Community Education
Social Work
Criminal Justice
Special Education
Recreation Center Programs
