To ensure that Ohio keeps pace in the information technology (IT) arena, the Joint Council of the Ohio Board of Regents and the State Department of Education developed “itWorks.Ohio” — a comprehensive plan designed to keep Ohio-educated students in secondary schools, colleges and universities on the leading edge of IT knowledge and skills.

Cincinnati State has created a new Information Technologies Division, considered a model for the rest of the state, that is structured to address the four occupational cluster areas defined by the state’s new IT initiative: Information Services and Support, Network Systems, Programming and Software Development, and Multimedia Information Design.
