This course is designed to provide an initial and basic overview of key OSHA General Industry Safety Standards. It is important to remember that this course shall provide only the basics on Occupational Safety. The course is designed for both the “worker” and first-line supervisor.

Explain the key elements of Walking & Working Surfaces Standards

Explain the key elements of Means of Egress and Fire Protection Standard

Explain the key elements of Electrical Safety and Lockout/Tagout Standards

Explain the key elements of Hazardous Materials Storage Requirements

Explain the key elements of the Machine Guarding Standard

Explain the key elements of the Blood-borne Pathogen Standard

Explain the key elements on selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Course Outcomes:
A competent individual that will possess a basic understanding of OSHA regulations and how they apply in the workplace. Each student will be awarded an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry OSHA Outreach Safety Card.
