Dietary Management Certificate
(DMC)

 

 

 

The Dietary Management Certificate program provides a combination of courses and field experience in nutrition, foodservice management, sanitation and human resources. Dietary managers work in hospitals, long-term care, schools, correctional facilities, and many other settings. Responsibilities may include directing and controlling: menu planning, food purchasing, food production and service, financial management, employee recruitment, training, and supervision and in some settings nutritional assessment and clinical care. This two year part-time certificate is approved by the Dietary Manager’s Association. Graduates are eligible to take the two-part credentialing examination. Graduates who successfully complete both parts of the exam earn the credential certified dietary manager (CDM) and certified food protection professional (CFPP).
