Exam Proctoring

Exam proctoring is a service provided as a reasonable accommodation to students with disabilities as described in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Exam proctoring is a right, not a privilege. Exam proctoring must be provided to the student with specific disability needs.

The individual faculty member in his/her department can provide exam proctoring.

The DSS can arrange readers, proctors, or scribes to administer the exam at your designated time and location, i.e. a lab setting, if necessary.  Additionally, exams can be administered in the DSS under the supervision of the Director of the Disability Services Office.  Reading and scribe services are also available at this location.  If you choose to utilize the exam proctoring service, please read the responsibilities sections.
