Earning a Certificate
or Degree

What if I decide I want to earn a certificate or degree?

Cincinnati State has numerous certificate and degree programs.  After you have taken a few courses, you may decide that you would like to be formally admitted to a certificate or degree program.

To earn a certificate or degree, you must be formally admitted to the College through the Office of Admission.  The admission process and on-line application are located here.

Will the credits I’ve earned as a non-degree-seeking student count toward my Certificate or Degree?

Yes.  Passing grades that you earned as a non-degree student may count toward your certificate or degree.  For specific information, please check with an academic advisor or the Program Chair of the program you wish to enter.
