Financial Information:
Tuition fees are charged on the basis of the number of credits hours represented by the course(s) and based upon the student’s residency status with the state of Ohio (Ohio resident or nonresident of Ohio).
In addition, all students are assessed a Registration Fee, a Facility Fee, an Information Technology Fee, and an application fee (first time only).
Some courses have additional course fees which usually are assessed to cover the cost of consumable materials used in the courses. Course fees are displayed on the mySERVICES “Search for Sections” page.

Residency for Tuition Purposes:
Cincinnati State is an Ohio state-supported institution and, as such, receives financial support from the state of Ohio which enables it to charge lower fees to residents of Ohio. Generally, persons living in Ohio are eligible for Ohio fees if they have lived in Ohio for a year and their income is subject to Ohio taxes.
Complete residence regulations can be found here.
By written agreement between Ohio and Kentucky, degree-seeking students from certain counties in Kentucky are able to enroll at Cincinnati State and pay Ohio resident tuition. That agreement, referred to as the Tuition Reciprocity Agreement, does not pertain to non-degree students.
Payment Information:
The due date for tuition and fees payments is the fifth business day of each term. Students whose accounts are not fully paid by that date will be enrolled in the college’s Extended Payment Plan, which defers the payment due date approximately four weeks. A $40 fee is assessed to the students’ accounts.
Payment may be remitted directly to the Cashier Office, Room 154 Main Building. Credit card payment via the “Make a Payment” link on the mySERVICES web site is also available after logging in to MYCSTATE.
Consortium Registration:
Degree-seeking students at other area colleges and universities enrolling at Cincinnati State under the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of Colleges and Universities (GCCCU) agreement may register according to the procedures outlined above. Each term, students must bring to the Cincinnati State Registrar’s Office the signed Cross Registration Form from their home college or university in order to have the Cincinnati State tuition waived. Students are responsible for all non-tuition fees (Registraton Fee, Facility Fee, IT Fee, Course Fees).
