Award Year begins with the Summer (SU) Term and runs through the Spring Term.  The financial aid office uses this calendar when awarding.  The 04-05 FAFSA is for SU04-SP05.

Loans will be awarded for all 5 terms this year.  If you fail to attend a term(s), your loan(s) will be cancelled for that term(s).

Award Letters will not be mailed.  We will send out emails to students who have been awarded.  You will be able to access your award letter online.  Go to www.cincinnatistate/currentstudent, click on financial aid, then Your Electronic Award for more information.

MAKE SURE you utilize your CS email address.

DO NOT use the following website:  www.fafsa.com.  A fee is associated with this service.

USE www.fafsa.ed.gov instead.  It is FREE!  (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Students will no longer have to attend a seminar to participate in the work-study program.  Go to www.cincinnatistate/currentstudent, click on financial aid, click on types of aid, click federal aid, then click work-study for more information.

Excess financial aid will not disburse until after the processing of No Shows is complete.

Students can use excess financial aid for books and parking beginning two weeks before the term.

First- time borrowers must wait at least 30 days to have funds disbursed to their account (per federal regulations).  However, no funds will be disbursed until AFTER the No Show processing is complete.

Due to excessive phone calls, advisors strive to call every student back within 48 hours, but many times it is impossible for them to see students, do the necessary paper work, and call each student back.  This process may take up to 72 hrs.

It is your responsibility to read and know about financial aid.  We have provided a lot of valuable information via the website.  Please take time to read!
