What is your Admission application deadline?

 

The Application deadline is two months prior to the beginning date of the term you have chosen to enroll to insure time to obtain a student visa.

 

How do I sign up for health insurance?

 

The International Student Office has a Health Insurance Brochure of various insurance companies that offer health insurance to International Students.

 

Will I be eligible to receive financial aid?

 

International Students with student visa (F-1) are not eligible to receive federal or state financial aid.  An I-20 form cannot be issued to students who cannot finance their education at Cincinnati State.

 

What do I need to do if I want to transfer credits from a university outside the U.S.A.?

 

You will need to send your college or university transcript to a Credential Evaluator.  Once you receive the evaluation from a Credential Evaluator Service, you will need to submit it to the Admissions Office.  A Listing of Credential Evaluators is available in the International Student Office.

 

Do you offer ESL Classes?

 

Yes, Cincinnati State does offer four (4) ESL Classes.  However, an I-20 form cannot be issued to an International Student to come to study ESL only.

 

When will I receive my I-20 Form?

 

An I-20 form will be mailed to you ONLY after the following steps are completed:

 

1. Admission Application

2. TOEFL Scores

3. High School Transcript (College if applicable)

4. Letter of Admission Received

5. Declaration & Certification of Finances with Bank Certification – (must be sent to the International Student Advisor).

6. Advance Tuition Deposit Fee- (must be sent to Cincinnati State Cashier’s Office).
