VO Credit. In some Cincinnati State degree programs, students who have earned an “A” or “B” in some high school vocational programs may be eligible for VO credit for specific courses that are related to certain high school vocational school courses. In addition to the Tech Prep institutions listed above, students from the following Technical/Vocational Centers may be eligible for this credit as well:
o Boone County Technical and Vocational Center (KY)
o Campbell County Technical and Vocational Center (KY)
o Patton Technical and Vocational Center (KY)
o Southeastern Indiana Technology and Career Center (IN)
Courses completed more than three years ago may not be eligible for this credit. VO credit will be awarded by the division offering the course(s) for which credit is sought. Contact the Office of Admission for further information concerning the appropriate person to contact regarding the award of VO credit. To apply for VO credit, submit documentation of your high school grades, including a letter from the senior teacher of the high school vocational program. If it is determined that VO credit should be awarded, the student must complete a petition, have it signed by the appropriate division representative, and submit it to the Office of the Registrar. There is no charge for VO credit.
