Tech Prep Agreements (TP)

TP Credit.  Tech Prep students who are fully admitted to a degree program at Cincinnati State will be granted college credit for articulated courses in accordance with the Tech Prep Articulation Agreement with Cincinnati State academic divisions.  Students must meet all Tech Prep articulation requirements before college credit can be awarded.  Most transfer modules have a minimum number of courses and/or proficiency examinations that are required to be completed before articulated courses can be transferred to the student’s academic record.  Students admitted to Cincinnati State in a pre-tech status are not eligible for college credit through the Tech Prep program.  Students must matriculate at Cincinnati State within the timeframe established in the Tech Prep Articulation Agreement.  Cincinnati State currently holds Tech Prep agreements with the following schools and centers:

o       Butler Technology and Career Center

o       Cincinnati Public Schools

o       Northwest Technology and Career Center

o       Ohio Valley Career and Technical Center

o       Southern Hills Technology and Career Center

o       The Great Oaks Institute of Technology System (4 campuses)

o       U.S. Grant Technology and Career Center

o       Warren County Technology and Career Center

Tech Prep credit will be awarded by the Cincinnati State Division offering the course(s) for which credit is sought.  Contact the Office of Admission:                        ( Charles.Hatcher@Cincinnatistate.edu )   for further information concerning the appropriate person to contact regarding the award of TP credit.  If it is determined that TP credit should be awarded, the student must complete a petition, have it signed by the appropriate division representative, and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.  There is no charge for TP credit.
