Automotive Service Management
Technology (ASM)

 

 

 

Automotive Service Management is a two-year associate degree program consisting of six 9-week terms spent in classroom instruction and four 9-week terms spent at a co-op site. The combined classroom and work experience will develop cognitive and technical skills that will be essential for the success of the student entering any avenue of the automotive work force.


Graduates will be prepared to:
• pursue a career in automotive management
• enter the automotive work force as a technician
• take nationally certified ASE exams

Co-op Salary:
$8.00 - $10.00/hour

Employment Outlook:
Excellent career opportunities available because of the severe shortage of trained, qualified persons entering the field.

Graduate Salary Projections:
$10.00/hour rising to $30,000 to $50,000 annually within five years.

• Opportunities are expected to be good for persons who complete formal automotive training programs.

• Automotive mechanics and service technicians must be well versed in electronics and mathematics to work on increasingly sophisticated car components.
