Environmental Engineering
Technology (EVET)

 

 

 

Environmental issues affect the operations of all types of industries including: the transportation industry, parks and forest services, chemical facilities, defense and energy industries, construction companies, and, of course, environmental services. EVET graduates are prepared to enter positions at local industries, environmental restoration sites, government agencies, laboratories, consulting firms, and conservation districts.

Graduates will be prepared to:

• collect and analyze soil & water samples

• conduct laboratory tests

• perform air sampling and monitoring

• treat and minimize waste

• ensure compliance with environmental regulations

• perform field studies & site assessments

$9.00 - $13.00/hour

 

Employment Outlook:

There are very few areas that are not impacted by environmental concerns. This job market is influenced by environmental legislation; when laws are passed, industry must respond. It is currently an excellent time to get involved with this exciting and promising technology.

 

Graduate Starting Salary Projections:

$25,000 - $40,000
