This two-term certificate program prepares students to design and lead comprehensive aquatic classes, teaching to various fitness levels.
After successful completion of the courses graduates are prepared to sit for a National Certification Examination to become a Certified Aquatic Instructor.
Graduates may be employed by health clubs, corporate fitness centers, recreation programs, hospitals, or senior centers. Job activities might include designing safe aquatic classes, scheduling classes, goal setting and motivation. Starting Salary for graduates, range from $15.00 to $30.00 an hour depending on position and level of responsibility.
