Fire Service (FST)

 

 

 

You are dispatched to a 911 emergency.  Arriving at the scene you are frantically told by a stranger “please help!”   Without hesitation you go to work. Rushing against time, your training and experience tells you what has to be done and you do it.  For the victim, this day will never be forgotten. For the firefighter, this is a day at work.

Can you handle the heat?  Get professionally trained.

 

Graduates will be prepared to:

·      Perform at the level of an Emergency Medical Technician

·      Perform at the level of a career Ohio certified firefighter Level II

·      Complete given assignments in a safe and timely manner

·      Serve the public with a professional demeanor

 

Certifications:

Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician

Ohio Certified Career Firefighter Level II

 

Articulation Agreement:

After the completion of an optional tract of classes offered with the FST program, the student may choose to continue his or her education with a seamless transition to the University of Cincinnati to earn a baccalaureate degree.

Graduate Starting Salary:

$28,000 - $33,000

 

Employment Outlook:
