Integrative Medical Massage Therapist is a two-year associate's degree program that combines courses related to health and wellness, business practices, general education as well as the specialized massage therapy courses. The program is offered through a partnership between Cincinnati State and the SHI Integrative Schools of Medical Massage. SHI has been approved by the State of Ohio Medical Board for Massage Therapist training for over twenty years, is a school member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork as a continuing education provider under Category A. The SHI program is approved by the State of Ohio Proprietary Board, #02-03-1628T-LC.
Graduates will be prepared for
Upon successful completion of the two-year degree program graduates may be eligible to take the State of Ohio Medical Board’s licensure examination for medical massage therapy.
- Take the licensure examination for massage therapy from the State of Ohio Medical Board.
- Associate with other healthcare professionals, working in a variety of healthcare setting
- establish a private practice as an independently licensed therapist.
