COMPASS Test

 

 

 

The COMPASS Placement Test is designed to help you and your advisor figure out which classes you should take as you start coursework at Cincinnati State.  It is important for you to prepare for the test to ensure that you are placed in the right program sequence and minimize the cost of your education in terms of time and money.  You can prepare for the test by accessing the ACT/COMPASS website.  You may also find additional help with the math portion of the test at www.mathpower.com.

If you do not live in the Greater Cincinnati area and need to take the ACT COMPASS/ESL placement test to complete the application process, please contact Carolyn M. Kelley. Entrance Testing Specialist at (513) 569-4740 to arrange remote testing.

There is no fee to take the test and no reservation is necessary.  Report to Room 196 in the main building.

Photo identification is required.

Please allow approximately 1 1/2 hours for testing.

Parking is $5 for visitors in the Central Parkway Garage.

Testing hours (must arrive 2 hours prior to closing):

Monday - Thursday: 8:00am 8:00pm, arrive no later than 6:00pm.

Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm, arrive no later than 2:00pm.

Saturday: 8:00am - 12:00pm, arrive no later than 9:15am. 

(First Saturday of every month)
(Every Saturday in July and August)
