TO REPORT A CRIME
Crimes in Progress:
Call Public Safety at extension 1558 [(513) 569-1558 or (513) 861-8888 if using an outside phone]. Advise the Public Safety representative that a crime is “in progress.” Provide as much information as possible to the representative. Stay on the line until the Public Safety representative advises it is okay to disconnect.
Crimes which have already occurred:
Report all crimes to Public Safety at extension 1558 [(513) 569-1558 or (513) 861-8888 if using an outside phone] as soon as possible. Do not touch anything that may have been used in/during the crime. Provide as much information as possible to the Public Safety representative.
TO REPORT A FIRE:
Avoid personal injury and excessive risks. Alert persons in your immediate area. Activate the fire alarm as soon as possible and evacuate the facility. If possible, call Public Safety at extension 1558 [(513) 569-1558 or (513) 861-8888 if using an outside phone] and advise them of the location of the fire. Do not re-enter the building until advised to do so by fire department or Public Safety personnel.
TO REPORT A MEDICAL EMERGENCY:
Call Public Safety at extension 1558 [(513) 569-1558 or (513) 861-8888 if using an outside phone] and give the representative your name, telephone number, and the location of the medical emergency. Provide as much information to the representative as possible. Stay on the line until the Public Safety representative advises it is okay to disconnect.
Public Safety personnel will respond to the scene and make all necessary contact with the Cincinnati Fire Department.
TO REPORT A NON-EMERGENCY:
Contact the Department of Public Safety by stopping by Room 7 of the main building or by calling extension 1558 [(513) 569-1558 or (513) 861-8888 if using an outside phone]. A Public Safety representative will be happy to assist you.
