Bargaining session held at Cincinnati State, another scheduled
October 20, 2011
Negotiating teams from Cincinnati State and the College’s chapter of the American Association of University Professors met for approximately four hours Thursday, and agreed to meet again on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Today’s session began about 4 p.m. and ended at 8 p.m.
The most recent contract between Cincinnati State and the AAUP expired Sept. 5. AAUP members conducted a week-long strike from Sept. 23-Sept. 30. They have been working since then under terms of the old contract.
The AAUP represents about 200 full-time faculty members at Cincinnati State. The college also employs about 575 part-time adjuncts and approximately 325 administrative/staff workers.
