Chiquita CEO to keynote Unsung Hero event Friday, Feb. 18
Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center, in cooperation with Cincy Magazine, is sponsoring the first annual Unsung Hero and Scholarship Award Program on Friday, Feb. 18. The keynote speaker is Fernando Aguirre, the Chairman and CEO of Cincinnati-based Chiquita Brands who was featured last October on the CBS reality show “Undercover Boss.’’
The program will begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium on the second floor of the Advanced Technology & Learning Center (on the northern edge of campus).

12 individuals from Greater Cincinnati companies and organizations who have been nominated by their peers and chosen by an independent panel of judges as “Unsung Heroes’’ for being outstanding employees who rarely get the recognition they deserve.

Inaugural Awards Ceremony and Reception to honor recipients and raise money to help launch a scholarship fund for unemployed and underemployed workers with financial need to access training courses at Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center.
