Cincinnati State Foundation board adds new members

The Cincinnati State Foundation, which supports programs, services and capital improvement projects at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, has added four members to its board of directors.
Joining the board of directors of the Cincinnati State Foundation are:
- Alison H. Muth, Safety & Risk Management Vice President, Messer Construction Co. A graduate of Miami University and the University of Toledo College of Law, Muth has specialized in the interpretation of federal, state and local regulatory requirements and, at Messer Construction, focuses heavily on safety and risk management initiatives with company employees in the field. She is a member of the Cincinnati State Workforce Development Advisory Committee, the Greater Cincinnati Safety Council and the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board. She is also a member and past chair of the Ohio Associated General Contractors Safety Committee and Steering Committee.
- Bob Pohl, Sales Vice President, Dwyer Real Estate, LLC. A graduate of the University of Dayton and the MBA program at Xavier University, Pohl has been involved in the real estate business in Ohio and Northern Kentucky for nearly two decades. He manages real estate portfolios for several companies, and has been involved in sales and leases of free-standing and multi-tenant buildings in Greater Cincinnati. He is a member of the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
- Ross E. Wales, Attorney, Taft, Stettinius & Hollister. A graduate of Princeton University and the University of Virginia Law School, Wales has been a partner at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister since 1982 and currently devotes much of his time to issues involving international trade. A member of the 1968 U.S. Olympic Swimming Team (he won a Bronze Medal in the 100 meter butterfly in Mexico City), he is a past member of the executive board of the U.S. Olympic Committee and has long been active in national and international organizations devoted to swimming and amateur sports. In addition to past service on the board of trustees at Cincinnati State, his community activities include service on the board of the Children’s Home of Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati Arts & Education Center.
- Owen J. Wrassman, Vice President of Investments, Robert W. Baird and Company. A graduate of Denison University, he is president of Cincinnati Reds Community Fund, the Children’s Theatre governing board and the Miracle League of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Cincinnati. He is past president of the Rotary Club of Cincinnati, Babies Milk Fund Pediatrics and the Mathis Foundation for Children. He is also a member of the governing board of Playhouse in the Park and the Ohio Community Council.
Members of the Cincinnati State Foundation serve without compensation. More than 70 percent of the students at Cincinnati State receive some form of financial assistance, and the foundation plays an important role in enabling the College to help them realize their ambitions.
