Cincinnati State names Vice President for Finance/Treasurer

Michael J. Geoghegan has been named Vice President for Finance/Treasurer at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.

Geoghegan served as district audit manager for the state auditor’s office from 1977-1991, director of finance for the Hamilton County Auditor from 1991-2000, treasurer and chief financial officer of Cincinnati Public Schools from 2000-2006 and as the chief financial officer and director of finance and administrative services for Broward County, Florida from 2006-2009. He has recently been serving on an interim basis as director of finance for the city of Lake Worth, Fla.

A 1974 graduate of Georgetown University, Geoghegan also holds an MBA in finance from the University of Cincinnati.

He succeeds Sandra Simpson, who retired.
