Dr. Dennis N. Ulrich, Executive Director of the Workforce Development Center at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, has been named to the Ohio Green Pathways Advisory Panel.
The 20-member advisory committee was formally appointed Dec. 1 by Chancellor Eric D. Fingerhut. Its members have been asked to:
- Research the expected demand for workers in “green’’ industries in Ohio
- Expand relationships with leaders in these industries
- Identify strategies for expanding economic opportunities in fields involving energy efficiency, conservation, environmental stewardship and the like.
“Greater Cincinnati, along with the rest of Ohio, is starting to realize the economic potential of energy efficiency and the long-range environmental imperatives,’’ said Ulrich, who also sits on the Region 5 Workforce Collaborative.
“We want to make sure the educational community is doing its part to give Ohio’s employers the skilled workforce it needs to take advantage of opportunities in these emerging industries,’’ he said.
