Cincinnati State to host academic tournament Saturday, Feb. 5
WHO:
Students from at least 10 high schools across the Tri-State. Participating schools include Elder, Middletown Fenwick, LaSalle, Mercy, Purcell Marian, Roger Bacon, Seton, St. Ursula, St. Xavier and Ursuline Academy.
WHAT:
Student teams will compete at Cincinnati State in the Greater Cincinnati Academic League (GCAL) Winter Tournament. Students will answer questions on subjects that include math, science, literature, geography, government, history, art, and biology. Teams are competing for a chance to move on to the Ohio Academic Competition in April.
WHEN:
Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, 9 a.m. – noon.

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, 3520 Central Parkway, 45223

WHY:
Opportunity to showcase the talents of some of the best and brightest students from across the Tri-State as they compete academically for a chance at a regional/state title.
The final round of the competition will begin at 11:10 a.m. in Room 302.
