Cincinnati State to host academic tournament Saturday, Oct. 31

WHO
Students from 11 high schools across the Tri-State. Participating schools include Chaminade-Julienne, Elder, Fenwick, LaSalle, McNicholas, Mercy, Moeller, Purcell Marian, Roger Bacon, Seton and Ursuline.
WHAT
Student teams will compete at Cincinnati State in the Greater Cincinnati Academic League (GCAL) Fall Tournament. Students will answer questions on subjects that include math, science, literature, mythology, spelling, history, art and zoology. Teams are competing for a chance to move on to the Ohio Academic Competition in April.
WHEN
Saturday, October 31, 2009, 9:00 a.m. – noon
The final round of the competition will begin at 11:10 a.m. in Room 302.

Opportunity to showcase the talents of some of the best and brightest students from across the Tri-State as they compete academically for a chance at a regional/state title.
