Cincinnati State to host green energy meetings

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College will host a meeting of the Southwest Ohio Clean Energy Network on Thursday, March 26. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in Room 180 of the Main Building at Cincinnati State’s Clifton campus, and is open to the public. Among the agenda items:
- Andy Holzhauser, project director for the recently formed Cincinnati Energy Alliance, will discuss a planned effort to retrofit older buildings to improve their energy efficiency. The non-profit organization is working on the initiative in conjunction with Duke Energy and the city of Cincinnati.
- Jack Clock, project coordinator for Green Energy Ohio’s southwest district, will give an overview of the Solar Thermal Workforce Training and Installation Workshop that will be presented at Cincinnati State on April 22, 23 and 24. Clock will also discuss plans for the GEO’s April 25 regional workshop, “Green Energy & Green Collar Jobs,’’ which will also be held at Cincinnati State.
- Larry Falkin, director of the city of Cincinnati’s Department of Environmental Quality, will discuss the Mayor’s Climate Action Plan.
