June 8, 2011
Diane Hopper has been appointed Director of Development at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.
An attorney with a background in commercial and employment litigation, Hopper worked as an institutional fund raiser for more than a decade before joining Cincinnati State.
“I’m delighted to have someone with Diane’s blend of development background, legal skills and energy,’’ said Cincinnati State President O’dell M. Owens.
A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Hopper earned her bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, Massachusetts) and her law degree from Ohio State.
After serving as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Alan N. Bloch in the western district of Pennsylvania and as an attorney with firms in Pittsburgh, Birmingham, Ala., and Cincinnati, Hopper joined the non-profit organization Crayons to Computers in 2003 as part of a team that raised $3.5 million for a capital/endowment campaign.
In 2007 she became director of development for St. Ursula Villa, a private Catholic school in Mount Lookout and led a capital/scholarship campaign that within 18 months had raised $3 million.
Hopper lives with her husband and children in Anderson Township.
