Employees recgonized for service to College

More than 60 Cincinnati State employees were recognized recently for their service to the college.
The “Employee Service Award Ice Cream Reception’’ honored 30 employees who are marking their fifth anniversary with Cincinnati State, 15 who have 10 years of service, six with 15 years of service, 10 with 20 years of service, five who were hired 25 years ago; and one, Sue Burns, who has been with the institution for 30 years.
R. Rodney Rupp, chairman of the physics program, received a special “College Loyal Service Award’’ from Cincinnati State President Dr. John Henderson. Rupp’s daughter, Lisa Lucas, also a Cincinnati State employee, read a moving tribute.
Rupp and Lucas are members of the Cincinnati State Choir, which performed during the ceremony. Other choir members on stage were Susan Bacher, Frankie Baker, Gene Breyer, Becky Burrell, Florence Donohue, Tosha Duritsch, Tom Hale, Kay Harrison-Smith, Jeanne Huber, Kathy McClusky and Marylou Wetterer.
The event was organized by the CQIN 10 Team, which includes Dr. Henderson, Dr. Carolyn Anderson, Becky Burrell, Jesse Brown, Anne Foster, Angela Haensel, Douglas Heesten, Karen Magness-Lewe, Julie McLaughlin and Peter Wynne.
