Solar/electric car will be assembled at Cincinnati State
April 3, 2009
Cincinnati State faculty and students will spend part of their spring break supervising construction of a solar/electric car.
The vehicle – an electric car with a solar panel to recharge its batteries -- will be built from a kit by approximately 20 students from Clark Montessori school in Cincinnati. The vehicle will then be used by the Cincinnati Parks Department for maintenance and other tasks.
Construction will take place April 8, 9 and 10 between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in Room 141 the Main Building at Cincinnati State’s Clifton campus.
Larry Feist, who heads the renewable energy program at Cincinnati State, is in charge of the project.
For information about the vehicle, please see www.sunnev.com.
