Cincinnati State, partners are offering small business seminars in Middletown
Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center is working with the City of Middletown, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the State of Ohio’s Small Business Development Centers to offer a series of seminars this month for startup companies and small businesses.
The seminars – which cost $25 each, or $80 for all four in the series – are designed to train both aspiring and current small business owners in four areas:
- Marketing Using Social Media (Friday, April 5)
- Small Business Legal Issues (Friday, April 12)
- Business Accounting (Friday, April 19)
- Quality Control Management (Friday, April 26)
“The goal of this program is to help foster a business-friendly environment for small businesses in Middletown,” said James Bax, the Workforce Development Center’s business manager for Middletown.
At each session, participants will also hear a presentation from representatives of Butler County’s community action agency (Support to Encourage Low Income Families, or SELF) regarding the availability of micro-loans for small businesses.
All seminars will be held from 10 a.m. – noon at the Cincinnati State Middletown campus (1 North Main Street, 45042). There are no educational prerequisites for the seminars. Certificates of completion will be issued to those who complete each seminar. To register please call (513) 727-3686, or visit www.butlercountysbdc.com/training/55.
