Cincinnati State's Cameron Vaughn named NJCAA All-American
Cincinnati State's Cameron Vaughn has been named a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American by the NJCAA Board of Administrators.
Vaughn, a 5'10 sophomore from Xenia, OH, averaged 13.8 points, 13.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game during the 2012-13 season. The 5'10 forward finished with 10 or more rebounds in all but five games, recording a season-high 25 rebounds against Columbus State on Jan. 23. She finished the season sixth in the nation in rebounding, first in offensive rebounds (6.6 per game on average), and set Cincinnati State's record for most rebounds in a season with 412.
Last month, Vaughn was named the OCCAC "Player of the Year" and a Region XII 1st Team selection. She is the 14th All-American selection from the Cincinnati State women’s basketball program over the past 20 seasons.
