Cincinnati State To Host Adult Learner Workshop Saturday, Feb. 8
Cincinnati State will host an Adult Learner Workshop on Saturday, Feb. 8 at its Clifton campus.

The event, which will run from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., is designed for adults who would like to convert an interest into a career by launching their college education at Cincinnati State. The workshop will also serve those who are already in the workforce and have a desire to improve their prospects for advancement or pursue a new career path.

The program will include an overview of Cincinnati State’s 52 certificate and 62 degree programs. The agenda will also include discussions of ways to avoid excessive college debt, the Cincinnati State admission process, financial aid, support services (including child care, veteran’s services, counseling, career advising and tutoring) and the offerings of the college’s Workforce Development Center. Otis Williams, a Toastmasters International tournament champion who is now on the faculty of Cincinnati State’s Business Division, will be the keynote speaker.

A free lunch will be provided to those who attend.

Advance registration is requested, but not required. For more information, or to register for the workshop, please visit www.cincinnatistate.edu/ALW. The contact for the event is Regina Poole in Cincinnati State’s Office of Admission at (513) 569-1470 or regina.poole@cincinnatistate.edu.
