Cincinnati State To Host Summit For High School Students July 1-3
High school students from the Upward Bound program will join other high school students who are in programs at Cincinnati State this summer for a three-day “Student Leadership Summit” July 1-3.

Participants will explore two major questions:

  • "What are Leadership Characteristics?"
  • "What Are Causes of School Dropouts?"

The Student Leadership Summit will open at 9 a.m. Monday, July 1 with presentations by State Rep. Louis Terhar, Mark Ramito from sponsor AT&T, and Cincinnati State President O’dell M. Owens in the ATLC Auditorium on the topics of leadership and the importance of education.

The Summit will end Wednesday following the presentation of skits illustrating student proposals for ways to lower the dropout rate. That presentation is scheduled from 12:20 p.m. – 2 p.m. in the ATLC Auditorium.

For more information about the event, please contact Elvin Friesen at (513) 569-1730 or elvin.friesen@cincinnatistate.edu .
