Cincinnati State To Host “Engage 2013” For Community, Students
Cincinnati State will host a two-day, tech-oriented Open House Thursday and Friday (Nov. 14-15) to highlight the role it plays in the region’s economy and educational network.
Billed as “Engage 2013,” it is designed as a series of hands-on events that invite participants to do just that – engage themselves in the life of the college. Guests will have the opportunity to try their hand at DNA extraction, for example, or operate a 3D printer, or explore what one faculty member is calling “the mathematics of the Zombie Apocalypse.”
Press coverage is welcome on both days of Engage 2013:
- Thursday, Nov. 14, is designed for the community at large. The event will open at 6 p.m. with a keynote address by former Cincinnati Bell CEO Jack Cassidy, and be followed by an Open House from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday, Nov. 15, will bring busloads of high school students to the Clifton campus from
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. to learn about the opportunities at Cincinnati State, financial aid options, support services, and career pathways.
