International Student Admission - Inside USA
If you are an international student seeking admission to Cincinnati State from inside the United States, or if you have attended/are currently attending school in the United States, please follow the following steps.
All of the following documents must be on file in the Office of Admission by the appropriate deadline before your application can be considered.
- All documents not written in English must also come with a professional English translation.
- Notarized copies or certified copies of original documents are considered official documents.
Click here for the online application. There is no application fee. A $15 nonrefundable admission fee will be billed at your first registration.
Transcripts (High School)
Submit an English translation of high school transcripts.
No copies or scanned documents are accepted; only original high school transcrips and diploma.

If transferring college/university coursework from abroad, students must have transcript(s) translated and evaluated by an official Credential Evaluation Service. Click here for a list of some service providers.
ACT Test Scores
ACT test scores are accepted if the scores are less then two years old. Test scores should be sent directly from ACT. Go to ACT.org for details. Cincinnati State's school code is 5570.
Proof of English Ability
All prospective international students must demonstrate their English proficiency by completing and meeting one of the following testing requirements:

Proof of Adequate Financial Support
Submission of a signed and officiated Certification of Finances Form to the attention of the International Student Advisor is required to verify the availability of sufficient funds to cover the cost of educational expenses.
It is estimated that international students need a minimum of $18,672 per year for tuition books, living, and miscellaneous expenses. There are no scholarships or educational loans available for international students.
Advance Tuition Deposit
Upon receipt of the aforementioned documents, and consequent offer of admission, all international students must submit a $3,500 advance tuition deposit fee to the Cashier’s Office. This deposit is credited to your account and used only for payment of tuition and fees. The fee covers approximately 1 semester of tuition. The student must provide for all other expenses, including room, board, books, transportation, and incidental expenses.
Important note: Only certain international student visas are eligible for financial aid. Please see the Office of Financial Aid website to determine eligibility.
Issuance of I-20 Form
An I-20 Form will be issued to the student only after all the above-mentioned steps are completed.
All documents submitted to the Offices of Admission and International become the property of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and will not be returned, forwarded, or copied.
