Where am I in the admission process?
Here is a list of the steps to be taken in the admission process. As each one is completed, check it off.
If you plan to take a course or two and are not seeking a degree or certificate:
o I have submitted the online Non-Degree application form.
o If there are any course prerequisites, I have met prerequisites before taking the course.
If you wish to earn an associate’s degree or certificate:
o I submitted my application online.
o I received my access letter showing my User ID and password for MyCState.
o I have notified the high school from which I graduated to send my transcript to the Office of Admission Records at Cincinnati State. If I am a college graduate, I do not need to take this step.
o If I have a GED, I have sent a copy of the original transcript of GED scores to the Office of Admission at Cincinnati State.
o If I previously attended college, I have notified the college I attended to send an official transcript to the Office of Admission at Cincinnati State.
o I have taken the COMPASS test.
OR
If I have already taken college courses in algebra and/or in English and received a grade of “C” or better, I have submitted COMPASS test waiver.
OR
If I have taken the COMPASS test at another institution, I have submitted my scores to the COMPASS lab at Cincinnati State for evaluation.
OR
If I have taken the ACT achievement test within the past two years, I may be exempt from placement testing. Submit a copy of my ACT score to the Office of Admission via www.ACTstudent.org.
o I have completed and submitted the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA).
o I have completed and submitted the Cincinnati State Scholarship Application by the deadline date.
o If I am a veteran, I have applied for veterans benefits.
o If I have a disability and need accommodation, I have contacted the Office of Disability Services.
