Registering for Classes

Search and register for classes online

Use this registration option when you want to see the complete list of section offerings, including days, times, availability, etc. We suggest this method until you are familiar with web registration in MyServices.

  1. Follow instructions to Access MyServices Online.
  2. On the MyServices Menu choose the Register-Add/Drop Class Sections link under Registration.
  3. Select Search and register for sections.
  4. Enter the Term, Subject, Course Number, and press Submit. All sections offered for that term will be displayed. Available courses will be marked with Open status.
  5. Choose the class you want by selecting the box marked Select, then press Submit at the bottom of the page to add to Preferred Section list.
  6. Continue to add sections to your list by repeating steps four and five.
  7. VERY IMPORTANT: You must select RG-Register/Add beside each class you wish to move from Preferred Sections to Current Registrations and then click Submit. You are not registered until you complete this step.
  8. View and print your Registration Statement—Class Schedule.

Note: You cannot register online once classes begin for the term.

Search for class sections

  1. Go to www.cincinnatistate.edu; click on MYCSTATE.
  2. Click Guest Login to MyServices Search for Sections.
  3. At the Search and Register for sections page, enter the Term, Subject, and Course Number. Select Show Open Courses Only to limit the display to open sections.
  4. Select Submit at the bottom of the page. This displays all sections of that course offered for that term.
  5. Write the sections in which you are interested.

Express registration online

  1. Use this registration option when you know the exact course and section numbers of the class you wish to add.
  2. Follow instructions to Access MyServices Online.
  3. On the MyServices menu, choose the Register-Add/Drop Class Sections link under Registration.
  4. Select Express Registration.
  5. Enter Subject, Course Number, Section Number and Term.
  6. After entering all classes, press Submit. See #7 above.
  7. View and print your Registration Statement—Class Schedule.

Note: You cannot register online once classes begin for the term.

To drop classes online (prior to the first day of classes)

  1. Follow instructions to Access MyServices Online.
  2. In the Registration menu, click Register-Add/Drop Class Section
  3. Select Register (Add or Drop) previously selected class sections. A screen containing your Preferred Sections and your Current Registrations will appear.
  4. Under Current Registrations Click the Drop box beside the Section, and then press Submit at the bottom of the page.
  5. View and print your Registration Statement - Class Schedule.

Note: You cannot drop classes online once classes begin for the term.

To withdraw from classes online (during withdrawal period)

In MyServices click on Withdraw from Class Sections and follow instructions on screen.
