About the director
Ben Hansen is a graduate of Yale University, Catholic University of America, and UC College-Conservatory of Music. He is a versatile musician - accomplished as a pianist, singer, and conductor. Mr. Hansen is looking forward to working with the Cincinnati State choir and intends to offer free voice lessons to people who sign up for choir. What a deal! Great music, great conductor, great friends, at a great school.
Dr. Coil, who started the choir in 2010, invited several candidates to Cincinnati State to meet the choir. With the help of feedback from the choir, Ben Hansen was selected to help lead the choir into the future starting in the Summer 2010 term. He has the personality, ambition, and imagination to succeed.
