Employment Outlook

The most sought-after graduates are breaking out of traditional drafting tasks and are doing work traditionally performed by engineers and architects. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that as technology continues to advance, employers will look for technicians with a strong background in CAD, in addition to high levels of technical sophistication, and the ability to apply this knowledge to a broader range of responsibilities.
