Employment Outlook

Employment of nurse aides, orderlies, and attendants is expected to grow by over 40% percent annually through 2018, faster than the average for all occupations. Average annual openings in Ohio: 1,949. Because of the growing elderly population, many nurse aides, orderlies, and attendants will be needed in long-term care facilities and in home health. Employers will require criminal background check and a drug test.
