Employment Outlook

Biotechnology is one of the fastest growing fields in Ohio, and several new biopharmaceutical manufacturing firms have opened in Southwest Ohio in the last three years. The demand for qualified employees is high and this trend is expected to continue as companies continue to start and grow. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, national employment for bioscience technicians is expected to grow by about 14% through 2020.
