Addiction Studies Certificate (ADSC)

The Addiction Studies certificate program prepares individuals to work in an entry level position in a substance abuse program. Components include training in how to identify and assist individuals and families with substance abuse problems; completion of an addiction studies practicum; coursework in counseling and diversity; pharmacology; ethics; screening, assessment, and treatment; relapse and prevention; and dual diagnosis. The Addiction Studies Certificate program is also open to students who are pursuing an Associate of Arts degree.
