Cincinnati State’s High School Dual Enrollment program allows well prepared students to take college-level courses at their high schools.  Every course taken through Cincinnati State’s dual enrollment partnership also counts toward high school graduation.  College courses offered in the high school are the same as the course offered on campus.  Cincinnati State’s dual enrollment program enables high schools to offer early college courses to their eligible students at a fraction of Cincinnati State’s already low tuition.

Students benefit by taking college courses in a familiar setting.  Successful students gain access to an official college transcript that can be sent to the college of their choice or incorporated into one of the certificate or degree curricula offered by Cincinnati State.  Many of Cincinnati State’s dual enrollment courses are included in the Ohio Transfer Assurance Guide (TAG) and Ohio’s Transfer Module.  This allows students to determine how these courses can be applied at other Ohio public colleges and universities.

Students who participate in high school dual enrollment can transition to college with increased confidence, having already proven that they can succeed in courses at that level.  Such students graduate from high school with a realistic idea of what college requires.  This, in turn, can provide a measure of comfort for parents.

Cincinnati State regards teachers, school administrators, students and their parents as partners in the high school dual enrollment process.  We urge you to review the sections of this web site most relevant to your interests.
