Joining Honors Experience
What are the qualifications for becoming an Honors Experience student?
Honors Experience at Cincinnati State is open to part-time and full-time degree seeking students in all divisions who meet Honors Experience entrance criteria. once admitted to a divisional degree program, you may apply for Honors Experience if you have at least the following COMPASS placement test scores: Reading 85; Writing 85; Math program level.
In Addition to your placement test score, you must meet one or more of the following criteria:
- High school GPA of 3.25 or higher
- High school graduation ranking in the top 20%
- ACT score of 26 or above
- SAT score of 1140 combined
- 18 credit hours as a current student at cincinnati State with a minimum 3.25 GPA
- 18 credit hours as a transfer student with a minimum 3.25GPA
I meet the qualifications, how do I apply?
If you meet the qualification criteria, submit a completed Honors application, a personal essay, and two letters of recommendation. You can download the Honors application online.
