Basic Hazardous Materials Chemistry THZ 1010

A basic chemistry course specifically designed to assist emergency services and safety professionals who manage or respond to a hazardous material (HAZMAT) event. Topics include: atomic structures, chemical elements, periodic table, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, and HAZMAT chemical terminology.

First Responder HAZWOPER (HAZMAT) Operations Level THZ1001

This training focuses on basic hazard recognition/risk assessment and defensive spill containment techniques. This course is designed to meet the OSHA, EPA, NFPA & DOT training requirements for individual’s who handle or are exposed to hazardous substances. A hazardous substance includes both hazardous material and hazardous waste. References: 29 CFR 1910.120; NFPA 704M; NFPA 471; 49 CFR 100-177.

HAZMAT 40 Hour (HAZWOPER) Workshop (Technician Level-NFPA) THZ 1005

A course designed for personnel involved with the investigation and remediation of hazardous waste sites, and to a lesser extent, response to an accident involving hazardous materials. It provides the basic information needed to meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120 and 29 CFR 1926.62 (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response), NFPA Standard 471 and 40 CFR 311

Hazardous 24 Hour (HAZWOPER) Material Technician Level (OSHA & US EPA: Occasional Site Worker)

THZ 1004
This training focuses on both defensive and offensive measures that stop and contain hazardous material (waste) spills and releases. Topics include USDOT Hazmat labeling, air monitoring, DECON operations, respiratory protections, and spill control. Topics covered in the operations level course are also covered in greater detail in this course. This course is designed to meet the OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and DOT training requirements for individuals who handle or are exposed to hazardous substances. A hazardous substance includes both hazardous material and hazardous waste. References: 29 CFR 1910.120; NFPA 704M; NFPA 471; 49 CFR 100-177.

HAZMAT 16 Hour Incident Command Workshop

This course is designed for individuals that are HAZMAT technicians (OSHA 24 Hour HAZWOPER qualified) whose duties will include being a; HAZMAT Incident Commander, Safety Officer, Operations Officer, or Decontamination Officer. The workshop provides the basic Incident Command skills needed to meet the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and NFPA HAZMAT standards 471 & 472.
Prerequisites: HAZMAT technician level certificate.

OSHA HAZWOPER (HAZMAT) Refresher Training (annual) THZ 1003

This course is designed for personnel involved with responding to or managing a hazardous substance spill or release. The scope of this workshop applies to all elements (HAZMAT Response, Environmental Remediation & TSD Operations) of the HAZWOPER (HAZMAT) standard.
Prerequisites: HAZWOPER or HAZMAT Technician Class
