Ohio has identified workforce development and talent recruitment as a priority within its evolving efforts to accelerate bioscience in Ohio.

As beneficiary of a U.S. Department of Labor and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant along with BioOhio as lead, over the past 3 years, Cincinnati State Workforce Development Center has provided an extensive program in training over 150 individuals in the bioscience industry.

A skilled and available workforce has been and will continue to be integral to the growth of Ohio’s bioscience industry. In recent years, Ohio’s diverse bioscience industry has made great strides in forming, attracting and growing companies. This unprecedented growth has demanded an abundant and available talent pool.

“Thank you for all of your behind-the-scenes work to keep this program running. The skills I gained allowed me to accomplish in less than 60 days what I wasn't able to do in the previous 6 months. It was clear in my final interview that my experience in this program with FDA regulations and SOPs is what sealed the deal. I couldn't have done it without you!” …Matt R
