Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is committed to the highest level of emergency preparedness, and to the safety and security of every individual who steps on to our campus. We have many strategies in place to create a safe campus community.
Cincinnati State’s Campus Police Department operates all day, every day to ensure the highest level of safety on campus. Campus Police use officers on duty, security cameras, and emergency phones to monitor activity on campus and keep everyone safe. Our ultimate goal for emergency preparedness is to promote community safety, assure continuity of emergency response operations, and restore normal operations and services as quickly as possible following an emergency.
In the event of an emergency on campus, the College uses multiple methods to notify the campus community and general public about the nature of the emergency, how to respond, class or event cancellations, and campus closures.
Those methods include the local news media, the College’s website, CallCommand emergency notification system, email, public overhead announcements, and on-the-ground public safety personnel. Information about campus emergencies and closures can also be accessed via the College’s main phone number at (513) 569-1500.
Emergency preparedness planning
Creating and maintaining a safe and secure campus environment is a commitment and responsibility shared by everyone at Cincinnati State. Pre-emergency planning by College community members is a critical part of emergency planning. Members must know what to do in advance of an emergency, whom to call for assistance, and where to obtain required services and supplies. To familiarize yourself with College procedures and safety information, review Cincinnati State’s
