Students can use four types of financial aid to help pay for part or all of their education.
Scholarships are financial awards that do not require repayment and can be based on need, grades, or other criteria. Scholarships are available from Cincinnati State as well as outside sponsors.
Grants are financial aid that comes from the Federal Government and does not have to be repaid. These grants are awarded based on a student’s financial need.
Students can apply for student-worker jobs to help offset the cost of education. Cincinnati State participates in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Loans are borrowed money that must be paid back to the lender over a period of time. Students with financial need may qualify for subsidized loans with reduced interest rates.
