Course Description

This program provides an overview of solar photovoltaic systems for individuals who want to work toward becoming a certified Solar PV system installer. Students will gain technical skills and a strong foundation of how to design and safely install solar-electric systems. Topics include: PV applications, solar electric fundamentals, system components, sizing systems, system designs, performance analysis,  troubleshooting, and hands-on system installation. This course concludes with students designing and installing a working 1 kW PV system capstone project.

  • Students who successfully complete this course qualify to sit for NABCEP PV Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge exam.
  • All content has been developed and created by industry leading subject matter experts and instructional designers
